Introducing the Boss EV-1-WL multi function MIDI expression pedal

Take control of your MIDI music world using the worlds first wireless MIDI expression pedal. The EV-1-WL provides wireless foot control for BOSS products such as the EURUS GS-1 and Waza-Air, along with music apps on mobile devices and anything that can receive CC messages via Bluetooth MIDI.

In addition to this, the USB and MIDI TRS connectivity are on hand for wired control of computer music software and standard MIDI devices. Whether you go wireless or wired – or both at the same time – the EV-1-WL delivers a large amount of MIDI power in a compact footprint.

As well as offering three ways to connect, the EV-1-WL also offers a dedicated IOS/ Android app for assigning MIDI CC numbers and customizing the response, a built-in toe switch with on/off indicators on both sides of the pedal and a control input for two BOSS-FS series footswitches.

Expand your performance range with Bluetooth

The EV-1-WL is the ideal creative partner for an expanding range of music hardware with Bluetooth wireless support. You can use the EV-1-WL to control pitch bend, filter and other synth functions in the BOSS EURUS GS-1 guitar. Or, you can add external footswitches to create a wireless mini pedalboard for patch selection, WAH/ volume control, and more in the Waza-AIR personal guitar amp system. The EV-1-WL can also communicate wirelessly with any standard 5-pin MIDI device that has the Roland WM-1 wireless MIDI adapter installed.

Features wireless MIDI control for computers and mobile devices

Using the EV-1-WL, you can pair with Mac computers, smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth, and make use of programmes such as guitar amp simulators and effects, virtual instruments and music production software.

If you are a Windows user, you can add a Roland WM-1D dongle for wireless communication.

Plug-and-play via USB

The EV-1-WL also works as a standalone USB MIDI controller for music software on a Mac or Windows computer. Featuring a class-compliant interface, there is no drivers to install, meaning you can just simply plug in with a USB cable and configure your software as needed for external MIDI input.

Control MIDI Stomboxes, multi-effects and more

The EV-1-WL features a space-saving TRS MIDI output, making it a powerful accessory for all types of MIDI music hardware, from effects and multi-effects processors to keyboards, drum machines and beyond.

You can use a jack cable with mini plugs to connect with BOSS pedals equipped with TRS MIDI, including 200 series effects and the RC-5 and RC-500 loop stations. Or, simply grab the BOSS BMIDI-5-35 cable to connect with any device with a standard 5-pin MIDI input jack.

Full customisable control

There are many ways you can fully customize your experience using the EV-1-WL. The EV-1-WL’s free editor app for IOS and Android devices lets you customize the MIDI CC assignments for the pedal, toe switch and up to two external footswitches.

The Bluetooth, USB, and TRS MIDI outputs support simultaneous operation, and you can create independent control settings for each. You can also set the switches for momentary or latching operation, adjust the pedals response curves, and more.
